Ship of Fools (painted c. 1490–1500) is a painting by Hieronymus Bosch dating from c. 1490-1500 now on display in the Musée du Louvre Paris. The painting is dense in symbolism and is indebted to if not actually satirical of Albrecht Dürer’s frontispiece of Sebastian Brant’s book of the same name.The painting as we see it today is a Ship of Fools draws upon a late 15th-century allegory by Hieronymus Bosch, the panel of which is in the collection of the Louvre.
